According to Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, the Philippine delegation emphasized the lack of basis of China’s territorial claims during the second day of the hearing at the international arbitral court in the Hague, Netherlands. China based its territorial claim on the nine-dash line which is not recognized in the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea.
