PCG: Two China cruise ships that arrived in Manila cleared by Bureau of Quarantine

(Eagle News) — The two cruise ships that arrived at a Manila pier from China have been declared safe by the Bureau of Quarantine, the Philippine Coast Guard said on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

The PCG said the World Dream Cruise Ship from Hong Kong and the MV Ligulao from Lianyungang in Jiangsu were free from the novel coronavirus that has gripped China and other parts of the world, based on the BOQ’s mandatory inspection.

The two ships are currently docked at Pier 15 in the South Harbor.

Several deaths have been reported from the virus, which was first identified in Wuhan in December 2018.

Cases have been recorded in Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, US, France, Germany, among others, since.
