Palace to DOJ: Probe former NYC chair Cardema over reports he led NYC meeting even after resignation

(Eagle News)—-The Palace has asked the Department of Justice to probe former National Youth Commission chair Ronald Cardema following reports he presided over a meeting even after he was already deemed resigned from his post.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo made the announcement in a news conference on Tuesday, May 21, six days after the conduct of the meeting, based on a text message from an unknown number received by Panelo.

The supposed meeting took place three days after Cardema asked the Commission on Elections to allow him to become a substitute nominee of the Duterte Youth party-list group, which is vying for a seat in the House of Representatives.

“If he really presided, that will be recorded, that’s supposed to be recorded,” Panelo said.
