Palace: There are ops carried out by “narco-cops”

(Eagle News)– Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella on Thursday revealed that there are illegitimate police operations done by suspected narco-cops.

“We’d just like to refer to the fact that  drug killings are not state-sanctioned and we also have to clearly and carefully make reference to the fact that certain deaths involving policemen may actually be cleansing operations by scalawags in uniform,” Abella told reporters in a press briefing in the Palace.
Abella also noted that the probing to possible narco-cops would be entitled as phase two of President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.
“The phase two of the drug campaign has already started with the investigation of the police involved in illegitimate operations,” Abella said.
The Palace described the first phase– which is creating awareness of the depth of the drug menace– as a success.
