Palace suspends gov’t work in regions affected by typhoon ‘Lando’

MANILA, Oct. 19 (PNA) – Malacañang has suspended government work in the regions heavily affected by typhoon “Lando.”

According to the memorandum issued by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. Sunday night, the government work is suspended in Regions 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

He said the suspension was based on the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Ochoa, however, the government personnel directly involved in the delivery of basic and health services and emergency response as well as other vital services are not included in the suspension. (PNA/JMC/JFM)
