Palace: President Duterte to go on three-day break this week

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte will take a three-day break this week.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said according to Senator Bong Go, the President’s former longtime trusted aide, the chief executive’s rest would start on Tuesday.

He said the break was upon the advice of his friends and doctors.

The advice came after President Duterte complained of back pain following a motorcycle accident at the Presidential Security Group compound on Oct. 16.

Doctors, however, dismissed this as mere muscle spasms.

The President recently went on a four-day trip to Thailand to attend the 35th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit.
