Palace denounces “senseless” Batocabe killing

(Eagle News)–The Palace on Saturday, Dec. 22, denounced the “senseless” killing of Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Rodel Batocabe.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said “proper authorities are now investigating this brazen murder” in Albay.

“We vow to leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators of this felonious act to justice,” Panelo said, as it extended  its “deep condolences” to the bereaved family of the victim and his loved ones, among others.

Batocabe was shot dead as he was about to board his vehicle from a gift-giving event in Daraga.

His bodyguard was also killed.
