Palace backs matrix that details supposed plot to oust Duterte

(Eagle News)—The Palace on Monday, April 22, backed the matrix that detailed a supposed plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte from office.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo gave reporters a copy of the matrix published in The Manila Times that linked Rappler, the Philippine Center of Investigative Journalism,  several media personalities including Howie Severino,  other leftists such as Neri Colmenares and Edre Olalia and “Bikoy” to the supposed plot.

In several videos, “Bikoy” linked members of the Duterte family, including his daughter Veronica, to the illegal drug trade, an allegation they have denied and dismissed as black propaganda.

Panelo said the matrix came from Duterte himself, but he denied giving the newspaper a copy of the same.

Dante Ang, chair of The Manila Times, said the matrix came from a “highly placed source” in the Palace.
