4.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental

(Eagle News) — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Monday, April 25. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 6:14 a.m. The epicenter was 174 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 131 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News)–The number of reported deaths due to “Agaton” has risen to 212. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, of the fatalities, 186 were reported from Eastern Visayas, 21 from Western Visayas, three in Davao Region, and two in Central Visayas.
