(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Dinagat Islands on Saturday, July 23. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 10:34 a.m. The epicenter was 5 kilometers northwest of Loreto. The depth of focus was 98 kilometers. PHIVOLCS said the earthquake was tectonic in nature. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News)–The easterlies are affecting the eastern section of the country. According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms as a result. The rest of the country will have the same conditions. Flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. The whole country, PAGASA said, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
