3.9-magnitude earthquake strikes Dinagat Islands

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Dinagat Islands on Saturday, July 23.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 10:34 a.m.

The epicenter was 5 kilometers northwest of Loreto.

The depth of focus was 98 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said the earthquake was tectonic in nature.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
