The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 8 kilometers southwest of Dilasag at 3:13 a.m. The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 16 kilometers.
