Bonifacio Monument Circle closed to motorists today, Nov. 30

(Eagle News)–The Bonifacio Monument Circle is closed today to give way to preparations and celebrations to commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Filipino hero Andres Bonifacio. The Caloocan Department of Public Safety and Traffic Management said the closure was effective 12:01 a.m. It did not say up to when the closure would take effect. The department urged motorists to take expect heavy traffic in the area and to take alternate routes instead.

3.4-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental early Saturday, Nov. 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 103 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 12:33 a.m. Depth of focus was 93 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
