(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Friday, Dec. 8. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 128 kilometers southeast of Cagwait at 4:59 p.m. The depth of focus was 28 kilometers. The quake was tectonic of origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
