Inflation further eases to 2.2 percent in April

(Eagle News)–Inflation further cooled to 2.2 percent in April, bringing the year-to-date inflation for this year to only 2.6 percent. The Philippine Statistics Authority said the 2.2 percent last month was slower than the 2.5 percent annual increase in March 2020. 4.3-magnitude quake hits Zamboanga del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Zamboanga del Sur today, May 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 5:43 a.m., had its epicenter five kilometers northeast of Dumingag. It had a depth of two kilometers.
