Customs bureau seizes over P500,000 worth of smuggled rice from Myanmar

(Eagle News) — The Bureau of Customs has seized over half a million pesos worth of smuggled rice from Myanmar. The bureau said the 495 bags of white rice were intercepted on Aug. 10 from the port of Cebu. 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolts Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Cagayan on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 6:32 a.m., had its epicenter 73 kilometers northwest of Calayan. 5.5-magnitude quake strikes off Batanes

(Eagle News)–A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 6:32 a.m., had its epicenter 49 kilometers southwest of Sabtang.
