5.0-magnitude quake strikes off Davao Occidental early Saturday, March 13

(Eagle News) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Saturday, March 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:13 a.m. It had its epicenter 230 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. The depth of focus was 87 kilometers, PHIVOLCS said. Japan detects new COVID-19 variant in traveler from PHL

PHL reports 4,578 additional cases, a new record high in six months
