Heavy rains displace thousands in northeast Brazil

4.4-magnitude quake strikes off Pangasinan

(Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Pangasinan on Sunday, Dec. 26. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 8:12 a.m. Its epicenter was 73 kilometers northwest of Agno. The depth of focus was 11 kilometers. Fatalities due to Typhoon “Odette” now at 367: NDRRMC

(Eagle News) — The number of fatalities due to Typhoon “Odette” has risen to 367, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said. PHL reports 433 additional COVID-19 cases, 137 more deaths

(Eagle News) — COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose to 2,838,381 on Saturday, Dec. 25, after the Department of Health reported 433 additional cases. According to the DOH, of the total cases, 9376 were active. Of these, 458 were asymptomatic, 3430 were mild, 3337 were moderate, 1777 were severe and 374 were critical.
