A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck China’s remote northwestern Qinghai province early Saturday, the US Geological Survey said. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 9:26 a.m. It had its epicenter 101 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso.
