PAGASA warns that rains may last until Friday

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration told the public to expect the rains to last until Friday due to the effect of the southwest monsoon or “habagat”.

PAGASA added that Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Mindoro may suffer heavy rainfall and floods.

The country’s weather bureau also warned the public about the possible recurrence of tornadoes like what struck Tondo, Manila yesterday, August 14.
