PAGASA: “Trami” expected to enter PAR this afternoon

(Eagle News)–Severe Tropical Storm “Trami” is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday, Sept. 23.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of 3 a.m., the eye of “Trami” was located 1580 kilometers east of center Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 100 to 120 kilometers per hour, and moving west northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour.

If it enters the PAR, it will be named “Paeng.”

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Palawan due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience good weather, with sometimes rains due to localized thunderstorms.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers are expected over Visayas and Mindanao due to the ITCZ.
