PAGASA monitors LPA off Aparri, Cagayan

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has monitored a low pressure area off Aparri, Cagayan.

PAGASA said as a result, Bicol Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides due to occasional heavy rains are also possible.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by a southwest monsoon that is affecting the western section of Luzon.

Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, the  western section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
