PAGASA announces start of dry season

(Eagle News)—The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Friday, March 22, announced the start of the dry season.

PAGASA said  “the day-to-day weather across the country will gradually become warmer, though isolated thunderstorms are also likely to occur” as a result.

On Friday though, PAGASA said cloudy skies were expected in parts of the country as the ridge of a high pressure area (HPA) affects Northern Luzon.

The weather bureau said partly cloudy skies due to the ridge of the high pressure area was expected over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers would prevail over Aurora province caused by localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and in Aurora Province, PAGASA said, while coastal waters would be slight to moderate.
