Pacquiao: Matobato a ‘coached’ witness

(Eagle News)– At the resumption of Senate hearing on drug slays, Senator Manny Pacquiao stressed on Thursday (September 22) confessed hitman and supposed Davao Death Squad (DDS) member Edgar Matobato is a coached witness.

“Because of your testimony, pa-iba-iba siya. So iniisip ko talaga na may nag-co-coach sayo, at may nagtuturo sa iyo,” Pacquiao said during his inquiry to Matobato.
I’m sure may nagturo sa’yo,” the senator added.
Pacquiao noted the first statement of Matobato that they were ordered to kidnap and kill the bodyguards of former House Speaker Prospero Nograles, who was an ex-rival of President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao politics.
However, Matobato said on Thursday that: “Hindi tao ni Nograles. Tao ni General Palparan at Matillano.”
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV seconded Matobato, saying that the men of Palparan and Matillano supported Nograles.
Pacquiao also opposed Matobato’s claim that he was a former bodyguard of Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte.
