Outgoing Philippine President Aquino given military, departure honors

(Eagle News) — Outgoing Philippine President Aquino was given his last military honors at the Palace grounds around 11 a.m. Thursday June 30, about an hour before incoming President Rodrigo Duterte takes his oath as the 16th president of the country.

After the military and departure honors, Aquino left the grounds of Malacanang where he served as the country’s top leader in the last six years.  He will now start his life as “Citizen Noy” and will live at his residence on Times Street in West Triangle, Quezon City.
