QUEZON City, Philippines – Solicitor General Jose Calida declared Senator Leila De Lima as “public enemy No.1” due to her alleged destabilization plans against President Rodrigo Duterte for waging a war on illegal drugs.
In a news conference, Calida said that he will use his department to ensure that justice is served against the lady senator.
“Senator De Lima should not be left to her own devious devices. High priestess of hypocrisy. Patron saint of narco-politics. Public Enemy No. 1,” he said.
“I am invoking the power of the Solicitor General as tribune of the people. In order to strengthen their resolve, I will lend the prestige and gravitas of my office to help them in their cases,” Calida added.
