Number-coding scheme suspended in QC on Monday, Aug. 19

Portion of Edsa that is part of the city not covered by suspension, MMDA says

(Eagle News)–The number-coding scheme is suspended in Quezon City on Monday, Aug. 19, except in the portion of Edsa that is still part of the city.

This is according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority which responded to a question posted on its Twitter account on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Republic Act 6741 declared August 19 of every year a special non-working public holiday in the city, and in the provinces of Quezon and Aurora.

The declaration was made to commemorate the birth anniversary of former President Manuel Luis Quezon.
