The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) had announced that there will be no increase in the fare of the Light Rail Transit or LRT and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) next year.
Said department assured the move when it defended its Php 42 billion budget for 2016, with Php 4 billion set aside for subsidy.
