In photos: After posting P480,000 bail for 16 counts of graft, Bong Revilla undergoes medical check-up at PNP Crime Lab

(Eagle News) — In these pictures released by the Philippine National Police, former Senator Bong Revilla is seen undergoing a medical check-up prior to his expected  release after posting a P480,000 bail for his provisional liberty for 16 counts of graft.

Revilla posted the bail before the Sandiganbayan after he was acquitted of the plunder case filed against him in connection with what the prosecution claimed were over P200 million of pork barrel funds Revilla pocketed in kickbacks by channeling the same to the fake foundations set up by alleged pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim Napoles.

Napoles and Revilla’s former chief of staff, Richard Cambe, however, were convicted of plunder, and were sentenced to reclusion perpetua.

According to the PNP, doctors from PNP Crime Laboratory said Revilla was in high spirits.

The PNP said Revilla’s blood pressure was normal, at 120 over 80, and he had no physical injuries except for his swollen right wrist, which he had allegedly sprained during boxing.
