NBI holds AMLC documents, De Lima bank accounts as probe on illegal drugs intensifies

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now holding crucial documents from the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), including the bank statements of Senator Leila De Lima, as it intensified its investigation of the alleged illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.

According to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, the NBI now has the statement of accounts of those who are suspected of being involved in the alleged NBP illegal drug trade, including that of Senator Leila De Lima.

The statement of accounts includes vital information including the amount of money that went into the bank accounts.
