MANILA, Philippines, April 30 (Eagle News) – Despite being under protective custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will still investigate the alleged illegal recruiters of Mary Jane Veloso.
According to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas, the protective custody order is only for the security and safety of the alleged illegal recruiters so that they can secure information regarding the illegal drug trade as well as to finally save Mary Jane Veloso from her death sentence in Indonesia.
