(Eagle News)–The National Bureau of Investigation has arrested one of the owners of WellMed Dialysis Center, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra confirmed on Monday, June 10.
The arrest of Bryan Sy, who, the NBI said is facing an estafa charge,took place after he surfaced at the NBi headquarters with his lawyer to clear his name.
Sy was accused by former WellMed employees Liezel Santos and Edwin Roberto of harassing them into processing the PhilHealth benefits of the center’s deceased parents, but Sy has denied the allegations, pointing at Santos and Roberto as the masterminds themselves.
Both Santos and Roberto have asked for government protection. Moira Encina
