(Eagle News)–The mayor of Naic, Cavite has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019.
Mayor Junio Dualan made the announcement in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 24.
“Ikinalulungkot ko pong ibalita na ang resulta ng swab testing na ginawa sa inyong lingkod noong March 18, 2020 ay ‘positive,'” he said.
He said he had undergone the tests in the hospital to know his health status.
He was advised by doctors to remain in “strict self-quarantine” after he was told he was, while positive for COVID-19, “in good condition.”
“Sana po ay ating sundin ang mga guidelines ng gobyerno ukol sa enhanced community quarantine dahil ito din naman po ay para din sa inyo at para sa lahat,” he said.
Earlier, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla announced four additional COVID-19 cases in the province.
