MRT-3 announces free rides for Filipino veterans from April 5 to 11

(Eagle News)—The Department of Transportation’s Metro Rail Transit 3  on Tuesday, April 2, announced it would offer free rides to Filipino veterans from April 5 to 11.

The MRT-3 said the veterans could avail of the rides from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

One companion of a veteran will also be allowed to ride the MRT-3 for free.

“In order to avail of the free ride, Filipino veterans must present their Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) identification card upon entry at any MRT-3 station,” the MRT-3 said.

The free rides were in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan, which commemorates the heroism of Filipino soldiers during World War II.
