MPD: Ex-Foreign Affairs Secretary Yasay rushed to hospital after complaining of “chest pain”

(Eagle News)–Former Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, Aug. 22, just hours after his arrest.

Manila Police District chief Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao said Yasay, who had been arrested for alleged violation of banking laws early in the day,  was brought to the Manila Doctors Hospital after complaining of “chest pain” while in detention.

Danao said Yasay will stay overnight in the hospital.

The arrest warrant, which was issued by Judge Danilo Leyva, Presiding Judge of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 10, was served against Yasay in his house in Barangay Poblacion, Makati around 3 p.m.
