Motorcycle rigged with explosives blows up in Maguindanao; no one reported hurt so far

(Eagle News)—–A motorcycle left on a roadside in Maguindanao exploded on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Maj. Arvin John Encinas, spokesperson of the 6th Infantry Division, said the motorcycle left in Sitio Nes Talayan past noon had been rigged with explosives.

He said the vehicle had been left there by a man who did not want to go through the military checkpoint where soldiers were conducting inspections.

No one was reported hurt in the incident, which the military said could have been perpetrated by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

The military has launched offensives against local terrorists who Interior Secretary Eduardo Año believes assisted an Indonesian couple in carrying out the suicide bombings of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral in Jolo.
