Monsoon rains to prevail in Ilocos, Zambales today, June 15

(Eagle News)–Monsoon rains are expected in parts of the country today, June 15, as the southwest monsoon affects western Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains are also possible in Ilocos and Zambales.

The  Cordilllera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, rest of Central Luzon and MIMAROPA on the other hand will have  cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said.

The northern and western section of Luzon, PAGASA said, will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to coastal waters while the  rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
