(Eagle News)–Monsoon rains will persist in the country today, Saturday, August 10, as the southwest monsoon affects the entire Philippines.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands will experience the monsoon rains, with possible flash floods or landslides due to a light to moderate with at times heavy downpour.
The rest of Luzon, PAGASA said, will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
PAGASA said extreme Northern Luzon will have strong winds and rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
