MMDA clarifies: Suspension of number-coding scheme on Oct. 31, Nov. 4 only for provincial buses

Number-coding scheme lifted for all motorists on Nov. 1

(Eagle News)–The number-coding scheme on  October 31 and November 4 will only be lifted for provincial buses.

This was the clarification issued by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chair Danilo Lim, days after the MMDA said it was lifted for all.

The MMDA said what was lifted for all motorists was the number-coding scheme on Nov. 1.

“A no-day off, no absent policy will be enforced among our traffic enforcers on October 31, November 1 and November 4,”  Lim said.

He said these were in anticipation of the increased volume of passengers going home to the provinces.

The MMDA said around 2,300 personnel will be deployed in key areas of Metro Manila from October 30 until November 4.
