MIAA temporarily suspends flight ops at NAIA after Taal spews ash

(Eagle News)-Flight operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport have been temporarily suspended.

The Manila International Airport Authority said this was due to the volcanic ash from the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano.

“Kindly coordinate with your respective air carriers for details on flight schedules,” MIAA said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has raised an alert level 3 over the volcano, and has recommended an evacuation from the volcano island and Agoncillo and Laurel in Batangas.
