Metro Manila to remain under COVID-19 alert level 1 from July 1 to 15

Benguet, Ifugao, others under COVID-19 alert level 2

(Eagle News) — Metro Manila will remain under a COVID-19 alert level from July 1 to 15.

According to the Palace, the following areas will also be under the alert level for the same period:

  • Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Kalinga, and Mountain Province in Cordillera Administrative Region, Dagupan City, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan in Region 1
  • Batanes, Cagayan, City of Santiago, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino in Region 2
  • Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales in Region 3
  • Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Lucena City, and Rizal in Region 4A
  • Benguet – Buguias and Tublay
  • Ifugao – Kiangan, Lagawe, and Lamut
  • Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Puerto Princesa City, and Romblon – in Region 4B

  • Region 5 – Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Masbate
  • Region 6 – Antique and Negros Occidental
  • Region 7 – Bohol, Cebu, and Negros Oriental
  • Region 8 – Leyte, Northern Samar, and Samar (Western Samar)
  • Region 9 – City of Isabela, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay
  • Region 10 – Lanao Del Norte
  • Region 11- Davao De Oro, Davao Del Norte, Davao Del Sur, and Davao Occidental
  • Region 12 – Cotabato (North Cotabato), General Santos City (Dadiangas), Sarangani, and Sultan Kudarat
  • Caraga – Dinagat Islands and Surigao Del Norte
  • BARMM – Basilan, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi

Under alert level 1, intrazonal and interzonal travel is allowed regardless of age or comorbidities.

Travel in areas under an alert level 2 is also allowed, but with some restrictions.

Earlier, the OCTA Research Group said the COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila had jumped to 5.9% as of June 25 from 3.9% as of June 19.
