(Eagle News) – A total of 30 persons are said to be identified in the affidavit submitted by Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa as having connections to his son Kerwin Espinosa who had previously been tagged as a drug lord.

Among those in the list are more officials of the Philippine National Police, some lawmakers, and even one senator.

Mayor Espinosa admitted that his life is now more in danger now that he had written and submitted his affidavit.

“Nanganganib na ang buhay ko.  (My life is now in danger),” a visibly worried Espinosa said.

He said there were members of the PNP and of Congress in his list.

According to Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido, chief of Albuera police, he saw the contents of the mayor’s affidavit.

“May senador nga. May senador (na) isa, nakita ko. Dating secretary ng DOJ siguro yun… Nakita ko lang ,” said Espenido.

He, however, did not directly name this senator.
