“Marilyn” weakens into LPA, is now outside PAR

(Eagle News)–“Marilyn” has weakened into a low pressure area and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said until  tonight, though, the southwest monsoon will bring occasional to frequent light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Sulu Archipelago, Palawan and Mindoro Provinces.

Scattered light to moderate rains with at times heavy rainshowers due to thunderstorms will be experienced, on the other hand, over Bicol Region, CALABARZON, and the rest of MIMAROPA and Visayas.

PAGASA said sea travel is risky, especially for small seacraft, over the western seaboard of Southern Luzon, the seaboards of Visayas and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao due to “potentially rough sea conditions.”
