Marcos burial protesters ask SC to make Marcos family and AFP liable

QUEZON City, Philippines  (Eagle News) — The petitioners against the Marcos burial asked the Supreme Court to make the Marcos family and officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines answer for the burial of the former President at the Libingan ng mga Bayani last Friday (November 18).

According to former Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo, they filed a 17-page petition for contempt asking the Supreme Court to order the respondents to pay a fine as well as to reimburse government funds used in the burial.

The group said that the burial should not have pushed through as they still have fifteen days to file their appeal.
