Man who claimed to be “Bikoy” faces estafa charges

(Eagle News)–The man who recently surfaced and claimed to be the “Bikoy” in the “Ang Totoong Narco-list” videos against members of the family of President Rodrigo Duterte and several others is facing estafa charges.

The charges against Peter Joemel Advincula were filed by Arven Valmores, president and chief executive officer of Ardeur World Marketing Corp., before the Department of Justice on Friday, May 10.

In filing the charges, Valmores said in his complaint-affidavit that he was “damaged financially” in the amount of P304, 422 when he was forced to pay 28 persons involved in the Miss Scenti Essencia Ambassadress beauty pageant in Polangui, Albay organized by Advincula in 2018 who were left unpaid when the respondent did not attend the coronation night and eventually disappeared.

The event had been promoted  using Valmores company’s corporate name and logo “without the knowledge, authorization and consent of the corporation.”

“Respondent’s fraudulent acts have been exposed in tri-media and social media platforms. Even complainant has been interviewed and bitterly explained the circumstances leading to damage and loss to his corporation,” Valmores said.

“I am executing this affidavit-complaint to attest to the truth of all the foregoing declarations and to support the charge for violation of Article 315 Sec. 2(a) under the Revised Penal Code as amended,” he added.
