Malacañang reminds public that it is not asking donations for quake victims

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang on Wednesday (February 15) reiterated that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is not asking for financial donations for the victims of the earthquake that struck Surigao City.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that the DSWD has enough funds for such matters.

Abella also reminded local government officials to not wait for President Rodrigo Duterte before starting relief operations as the President has made it clear that he does not like ceremonial relief giving.
