Malacañang defends shoot-to-kill order

QUEZON City,Philippines – The shoot-to-kill order issued by President Rodrigo Duterte against alleged narco-politicians is not against the law, according to the Malacañang.

Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella the order is lawful as it is connected with the issue of maintaining peace and order especially with the all-out war of the Duterte administration against illegal drugs.

Abella also said that the order shows the commitment of the Duterte administration to end the country’s illegal drug problem.
