Updated: Magnitude 5 quake shakes Quezon, other areas of Luzon

(Eagle News) — A magnitude 5 quake of tectonic origin shook Quezon province and was felt in other areas of Luzon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The quake’s location was 24 kilometers northwest of General Nakar, Quezon province and had a depth of 13 kilometers.

It was registered at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, and was felt at various intensities in different parts of Luzon.

The quake was felt at intensity 5 in General Nakar, Quezon, intensity 4 in Antipolo City, and intensity 3 in Tarlac City.

It was also felt at  intensity 3 in various parts of Metro Manila, including Quezon City, Marikina City, Manila, Makati City and San Juan City.

It was felt at intensity 2 in Taguig City, Mandaluyong City, Pasig City, Malabon City, Mauban in Quezon province, and in Cabanatuan City.

The quake was felt at intensity 1 in Lucban, Quezon; Tagaytay City; Guagua, Pampanga, Malolos, Bulacan; Muntinlupa City; Alabat and Gumaca, Quezon.
