LTFRB orders suspension of seven Partas buses following fatal road crash in La Union

(Eagle News) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Tuesday ordered the suspension of seven Partas buses.

This was after the company failed to give the agency the dash cam footage and Global Positioning System tracking data of the bus involved in the fatal road crash in Agoo, La Union on Monday, as requested by the agency.

The footage and the tracking data were supposed to be used in the LTFRB’s investigation of the head-on collision between a bus and a jeepney that saw 20 people killed.

According to LTFRB board member Aileen Lizada, the bus company had until 12 noon to produce these items.

The bus company instead, she said, submitted footage of the inside of the bus.

The 20 killed in the road crash included six children.

The fatalities who were on board the jeepney were on their way to attend Catholic Mass at that time.
