LPA to enter PAR on Tuesday; Signal No. 1 still hoisted over several areas

(Eagle News)–A low pressure area is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of 10 a.m., the LPA was estimated  2,420 kilometers east of Visayas outside PAR.

This was apart from Tropical Storm “Ramon,” which was estimated 395 km east of Casiguran, Aurora, and was packing maximum  sustained winds of up to 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

“Ramon” is moving north northwest at 10 kph.

Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over Cagayan including Babuyan Island, Isabela, and northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan).

PAGASA said light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may be experienced over the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela today.

Sea travel is risky, especially for small sea craft, over the seaboards of areas under a storm signal, the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to prevailing or forecast rough sea conditions.
